BONNAROO FESTIVAL WORKS TO BE A GREEN FESTIVAL!
There are several ways Bonnaroo trys to promote environmental consciousness to our attendees and promote green living. Whether it is converting the generators to biodiesel, using recycled paper for concessions, or offsetting carbon emissions, Bonnaroo is actively trying to step it up each and every year. Bonnaroo 2007 Music Festival Waste Statistics:
- Total waste Recycled = 94,340lbs / 47.17 tons
- Total food waste and biodegradable products composted = 20,600lbs / 10.3 tons
- Total waste sent to WastAway = 600,400lbs / 300.2 tons
- Total amount of waste diverted from the landfill = 574,160 pounds /287.08 tons
- Total trash sent to Middle TN Landfill = 471,300lbs / 235.65 tons
- Total waste produced at Bonnaroo 2007 = 593.32 tons
